LSTME Busan held a short training on “Beer brewing process” for the visiting students from Kyungnam and Inje Universities under the supervision of Professor Park Eun-joo (Kyungnam University) and Professor Lee Sang-hyun (Inje University) on the 17th of May.
Dr Benedict Prah, Abid Ali, and Byeong Woo Ko were the LSTME Busan’s hosts and organizers at this training.
LSTME Busan is going to participate in the 5th Korean-German Energy Day with the topic of “Tackling the Climate and Energy Crisis: the Role of Offshore Wind, Grid Expansion and Digitalization”. This seminar is going to be held at Bexco, Busan, South Korea on the 26th of May 2023.
We are happy to welcome our new intern from Germany. Antonia is a fourth-year Diploma student at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, and her research focus is on Nanotechnology. She is going to contribute to our team from April to September 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Hyo-Jin Ahn.

LSTME Busan is holding a Green Hydrogen Workshop with partners from PNU, KIST, DSU and UNIST. We are looking forward to our future cooperation in the area of green hydrogen generation and application
LSTME Busan is present our work in the field of Food Technology and Engineering with a large delegation of six colleagues at the annual conference of the European Federation of Food Science and Technology. We are also looking forward to the meetings with our european industrial and academic collaborators. Our presentations will cover topics like gas hydrate based dewatering for fruit juices, antioxidants from fish waste hydrolysates, strategies and techniques for biofilm based biomass production as well as mash cycle optimisation for adjunct brewing.
LSTME Busan is looking forward to me old and new collaborators in the area of applied german Engineering. We will be in hall C at the German Pavilion. Feel free to stop by and chat with our researchers from Food, Bioprocess and Brewery Engineering.
LSTME Busan provided hands on experience in brewery science for students of Kyungnam University.
LSTME Busan has signed a MOU with the LINC 3.0 groups of Changwon National University, Kyungnam University as well as Nissi Dongjin Institute of Technology under the idea of ‘Global Capacity Building’. We are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation.
